“Who's the Director of your life? Sin or Grace?” - Rev. Marcella Bassett

Let us focus on His amazing love that pursues us! Love that loved us before we even knew a tiny piece of its existence!

Today we are going to look at some verses and allow them to wrap their arms around our souls.

“In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent His only Son into the world, so that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we have loved God but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.” - 1 John 4:9-11

God’s love was made manifest among us, that God sent His only Son into the world, so that we might live through Him. This Love, Loved us long before we even knew about Him.

He knew that our sins would keep us separated from Him and He couldn’t let this happen, so He sent His Son to bridge that gap, to pay the price for our lives. A price that we could not even begin to pay, so that now we can begin to live through Him.

So thus Jesus came to earth!

Can you fathom this? He left Heaven to show us how to live here. Not an easy task unless we follow Him.

In fact, it is impossible without great sorrow and turmoil, look at the following verse and let’s ponder this for a while.

“But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ— by grace you have been saved—“ - Ephesians 2:4-5

Made us alive together with Christ

Are you alive today as a result of what He did for you? Can you live on earth with some “Victories” because of Calvary?

When we were born, we were born into sin, simply because of one man, Adam. But when we asked Jesus to become Lord of our lives, we were born again because of one “Man” Jesus! Proof of this can be found in the following verse.

“For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God's abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ!” - Romans 5:17

Two births, two results! And His love for you and me makes that transformation a reality.

What have we done with the reality?

We all wake up each day with the same opportunities and same Grace. I love that Shawn’s Sunday night service message was “Don’t let the struggles of today rob you of tomorrow’s testimony”

And that’s exactly what we do! We struggle with sin as if it wasn’t defeated at the cross. Sin raises its ugly head each and every day and we battle it like it’s not “Dead”

“and do not go on presenting the members of your body to sin as instruments of unrighteousness; but present yourselves to God as those alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God. For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under Grace.” - Romans 6:13-14

So, again, each day offers us the opportunity to choose to live as though we were not ever saved and redeemed from sin. Thus saying the Cross and His life really hasn’t made any impact upon us and our lives. Or, live as a saved redeemed blood-bought Child of the most High God, looking at this life as an opportunity to learn from the struggles instead of just getting through them. Letting the power of what He lived, make a total radical change affecting your life.

Learn to become an “Over-comer” and let that become our goal and quest. Here is a visual to help us through this time of moving from defeat and dismal to the truly alive and moving forward stages.

Look at your life as if it were a Broadway play, seeing yourself with a “Role” that is being watched by Heaven and Hell. Let your stage name become what it needs to be!

OVERCOMER

His life paid for you to have that role. The stage is set, and it’s called life. The scenery is your day to day existence, filled with your job and home and friends and family.

He has the script! And He is the Director. Let Him “Direct” your steps and actions from now on and live as a “Transformed, born again child of God on that stage.

Let Him tell you how to act and show the world, seen and unseen! What He is doing with you. And your life!

There is nothing stopping you, but you!
